Day Camp Leaders in Training

Engage in practical, experiential leadership development with the YMCA of Three Rivers Day Camp Leaders in Training (LIT) program.

Youth ages 13 to 15 are invited to embark on a two-week leadership journey to develop skills to build confidence in all areas of their lives. Registration Information

LIT Level 1

Cost: $500/two-week session

LIT Level 1 lays the groundwork for leadership development by providing participants the chance to master their camp skills, including canoeing, kayaking, archery, rock climbing, low ropes, survival and nature skills, initiatives, and games. LITs leave the program with an increased confidence to teach these skills to campers.

LIT Level 2

Cost: $500/two-week session

In LIT Level 2 build on the skills gained in LIT Level 1 and begin learning how to teach these skills to campers. Level 2 LITs leave the program having learned how to empower, energize, and advocate for campers.

LIT Level 3

Cost: $300/two-week session

LIT Level 3 is a practical phase of our training program. Participants focus on confidently applying lessons learned in Levels 1 and 2 by directly engaging with campers. LITs will leave the program successfully planning, implementing, and evaluating at least one program activity for a group of campers with the support and mentorship of your LIT Trainer.
