Ready to make the most of your summer?

If you enjoy the outdoors and have a passion for working with children and youth, then you might be exactly who we’re looking for to join our camp staff team.

 

The YMCA of Three Rivers is committed serving people where and how they need us most. For over 150 years, the YMCA has supported the needs of our communities in Guelph-Wellington, Stratford-Perth, and Waterloo Region. We provide safe, welcoming, supportive, and inclusive opportunities for personal growth and involvement, helping to build a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community.

 

We’re currently looking to hire staff for our 2023 season at both our day and overnight camps.

What does being a YMCA camp staff look like?

 

  • Actively engaging with children and youth as they foster positive relationships, learn new skills, and reconnect with nature.

  • Providing exceptional camper care, being sensitive to the individual needs of each camper.

  • Participating fully as part of the overall staff team by being a reliable teammate, acting as a positive role model, and motivating others to try their best.

  • Providing exceptional attention to health and safety by checking equipment and program areas for safety and cleanliness and reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment.

 

If you’re still reading, that means you’re interested! So, are you:

 

  • Experienced working with children and youth?

  • Passionate for the outdoors?

  • Committed to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to diverse needs?

  • Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR (C), or are willing to receive training?

  • Ready to provide a successful Vulnerable Records Check (within the last six months)?
